We have implemented this option that will help advertisers control spending more effectively across campaign ad sets.
How it works?
You can find this option in your ad launcher settings under the first, Budget & Schedule dropdown (open by default). Select CBO (campaign budget optimization) and you will now notice the ad set spend limits toggle on the right side:
This should make budget management smoother while avoiding overspending.
What are the benefits of using this option?
CBO automatically distributes the campaign budget across the ad sets based on their performance. This means Meta optimizes the spending toward the best performing ad sets, allowing for efficient use of the total campaign budget.
When the Ad Set Spend Limits toggle is turned on, you can define:
Daily minimum/maximum: The minimum or maximum amount of money that an ad set can spend in one day.
Lifetime minimum/maximum: The minimum or maximum spend over the entire lifetime of the ad set or campaign
Please note that Meta will still optimize the budget distribution between the ad sets, but now with an added control layer. The spend within each ad set will be limited to the boundaries set by the ad set spend limits, preventing any ad set from overspending or underperforming relative to the set limits.
