Pipeline: plan, review and launch as a team
Plan launches as cards, review them together and launch when they're ready.
The Pipeline is a board where every planned launch is a card. Cards move from request to review to launch, so your whole team can see what's coming, comment on it and approve it before it goes live.
Open the Pipeline
Open Creatives in the sidebar and switch from Creatives to Pipeline at the top. If your role doesn't include Creatives, you'll see a Pipeline item in the sidebar instead.
The board has six columns, in this order: Requested, Assets Uploaded, In Review, Approved, Failed and Published. Failed is hidden while it's empty, so most days you see five. Admins can rename or hide columns.
Add an item
Select Add, or press n.
Pick New item to plan a new launch, or Add existing to put a live campaign or a draft on the board.
For a new item, fill in the Title, the Priority (Low, Medium or High), the Starting stage and the Assignees. Optionally attach assets under Upload Assets and write a Brief. In All Accounts you also pick the Ad account.
Select Create item.
To bring in an existing one, search in Add existing campaign, tick the campaigns or drafts and select Add.
Work the board
- Move a card by dragging it to another column. To move several, Cmd-click, Ctrl-click or Shift-click to select them, then use Move to or Delete in the bar that appears. Esc clears the selection.
- Read a card at a glance. A card shows thumbnails of up to 3 of its assets, or Awaiting upload when it has none. Once the item is published and has numbers, the card shows Spend, CTR and ROAS instead.
- Search with /.
- Open a card to see its Item overview, with the Assets, Comments and Activity tabs. From there, Open in builder takes you to the campaign, and Apply template builds its structure from a structure template.
Launching from the board
A column can be set to launch whatever lands in it. When you drop a card into such a column, Koast asks first: the item "will publish live ads and spend real budget". Select Launch to go ahead, or Cancel. Admins set this up in column automations.
Items waiting for approval
An Agent Task can include a review step that holds its item on the board until someone approves it. Those cards show Awaiting approval and have Approve and Decline buttons, on the card and in the item overview.
- Approve lets the task carry on.
- Decline stops the task and unlinks it from the item.
You can't drag a waiting card to another column. Koast tells you to Use Approve or Decline.
Who can do what
- View Only teammates can open the board and items, and can write comments. They can't add, move, delete or approve items.
- Only admins can open column settings.
