Pipeline column automations
Make things happen automatically when a card moves into a column.
Each Pipeline column can do something whenever a card enters it: build the campaign from a template, post to Slack, or launch it. Set it up once and moving a card is all it takes.
Before you start
- Only admins can change column settings. Other teammates don't see the settings button.
- For Slack messages, connect Slack first. See Slack integration.
- To build from a template, have a structure template ready.
Open a column's settings
Open the Pipeline.
Select Column settings at the top of the column. Changes save automatically.
Rename the column under Name, or switch it between Shown on the board and Hidden from the board. A hidden column's items are hidden too until you show it again.
Add an automation
Under Add actions, pick one. It moves up to Active, where each automation has its own on/off switch.

In the Slack message you can insert the item's title, the column name and the item's id; they're filled in when the message is sent, for example "New item Summer UGC Videos entered In Review".
What happens when a card moves in
- If the column builds from a template, the campaign is built first.
- If the column publishes, Koast asks before moving the card: the item "will publish live ads and spend real budget". Select Launch to confirm, or Cancel. If the template build failed, nothing is published.
- If the column posts to Slack, the message goes to your channel.

With Publishing on, confirming the move launches live ads on your ad account.
