Structure templates: build once, launch on repeat
Save a campaign structure once and launch it again with new creatives.
A structure template is a reusable campaign blueprint: how many ad sets, which audiences, how creatives are spread across ads, and the settings for each level. Build it once, then launch a new campaign from it by picking creatives.
Create a template
Open Templates in the sidebar. With no templates yet, you'll see Build once, launch on repeat.
Select + New Template and pick how to start:
- Start blank: build it step by step.
- Use a preset: start from a Koast preset or copy the structure of a campaign you've already launched.
- Use Koast Agent: let the agent set it up for you.
With Start blank, a short setup opens in three steps: Setup (the Ad accounts and Audiences), Accounts (settings for each ad account) and Structure (creatives, ad sets and how ads are distributed, with a preview). Select Continue to builder.
In the builder, name the template and fine-tune the structure:
- Creatives: Any number, or Exactly a set count.
- Audiences: pick at least one. Each audience gets its own copy of the structure.
- Ad sets: a fixed number with Set number, or Group to split creatives into ad sets.
- Ads per ad set: how the creatives are spread across the ads, for example Mirror or Split.
The live preview on the right updates as you edit.
Select Next: Settings and fill in the settings for the campaign, the ad sets and the ads. On the last level, select Save. If something is still missing, the button's tooltip tells you what to resolve.
The builder has a Koast Agent button that opens the agent next to it, so you can ask it to make changes. Edits the agent makes are marked "Set by Koast Agent".
Launch from a template
In Templates, select Launch on the template's row.
In Select creatives, pick the creatives to launch with. You can add more in the builder later.
Select Launch. If the template leaves some assets or audiences to be chosen per ad account, the button reads Next and you fill those in first.
Koast creates a new item on the Pipeline, builds the campaign from the template and opens it in the builder, where you review and publish it.
Other ways to use a template
- On a Pipeline card: open the item and select Apply template. Only templates marked Ready can be applied.
- From chat: the
/apply-templatecommand applies a template to the campaign you're in, and/template-from-campaignturns the current campaign into a new template. - In an Agent Task: the Apply template step builds a campaign from a template automatically. See How Agent Tasks work.
- On a Pipeline column: admins can have a column build every item that enters it. See Pipeline column automations.
Template statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Draft | Still being built. |
| Ready | Complete and ready to use. |
| Needs attention | Something in it needs fixing before you use it. |
Structure templates or launch templates?
They're different things. A structure template builds a whole new campaign: ad sets, ads and how creatives fill them. A launch template only fills in the settings of a campaign you're already building, such as budget, targeting, placements, pixel and naming.
Good to know
- A template needs at least one ad account and at least one audience before it can be Ready. Without them Koast saves it as a Draft.
- A template is only offered when you apply one if it's Ready and lists that campaign's ad account.
- Saved audiences aren't available on a Koast ad account through Whop, so build those templates with the audiences you define in the template itself.
- Templates aren't admin-only. Any teammate except View Only can create and edit them.
