Scheduled agent flows
Run the agent on a schedule, like a daily pulse or a weekly report.
An agent flow is an Agent Task where the step is plain English: you write the instruction once, and Koast Agent carries it out every time the flow runs. Put it on a schedule for a morning recap, a weekly scale check or anything else you'd otherwise ask by hand.
Create the flow
Open Agent Tasks, select New task, then Agent flow.
Give it a Name and write the Instructions, for example "Every morning, check yesterday's spend and CPA on Vela Supplements · US-1 and tell me anything over target." You can start from a suggestion such as Performance recap, Pause underperformers, Creative brief or Scale winners.
Under Select a trigger, pick Schedule. (Creative runs when a creative is approved in Frame.io; Manual runs only when you start it.) Select Next.
Choose the Cadence (Daily, Weekly or Monthly), the Time, and the Day or Day of month. Select Create flow.
Turn it on
A new flow is saved as a draft, and the flow window has no timezone or on/off switch. To make the schedule run:
Open the flow from the Agent Tasks list in the sidebar. It opens in the task builder.
Select the trigger. Under Timezone, keep Ad account timezone and pick the ad account, or choose Specific timezone and pick one. Without this, scheduled runs are skipped.
Switch the flow to Active.
You can also ask Koast Agent in chat to turn the flow on for you. Active scheduled flows appear under Scheduled on Home with their next run time.
How unattended runs behave
Nobody is there to answer questions when a scheduled flow runs, so the agent works differently:
- It can't ask you anything. If the instruction is ambiguous or missing something, it doesn't guess. It says what's unclear as its answer and stops.
- It acts only on what's unambiguous. Write instructions that name the ad account, the metric, the time range and what to do.
- It needs to know the ad account. If Koast can't tell which ad account the run is for, for example more than one ad account is connected and none is named, the run stops instead of picking one.
Each run shows in the task's Activity history.
Good to know
- To try a flow once without waiting for the schedule, use Run now in the Agent Tasks list, or Run in the builder. Both stay blocked until the timezone is set.
