From Frame.io approval to a live campaign
Turn an approved Frame.io creative into a live campaign without lifting a finger.
When your team approves a creative in Frame.io, this Agent Task builds a campaign around it from a structure template and launches it. Your review in Frame.io becomes the go-ahead.
Before you start
- Frame.io connected in Settings, under Frame.io. Until it is, the Frame.io approval trigger is greyed out with Connect Frame.io to use this trigger.
- A structure template that names the ad account to launch in. See Structure templates.
- Slack connected, if you want the notification step.
Set it up
Open Agent Tasks, select New task, then Start from a template and Frame.io to live campaign. You get a Frame.io approval trigger followed by Apply template, Launch and Slack notification.
Select the trigger and pick the Frame.io Folder to watch for approvals. Under Grouping, choose Folder to item or Creative to ticket.
Select Apply template and pick the Structure template. The approved creatives fill it in.
Look at Launch. It has nothing to set: it publishes the campaign live as soon as the flow reaches it.
Select Slack notification and pick a channel, or delete the step.
Switch the task to Active.
What happens next
When creatives in that folder are approved in Frame.io, the task runs: it builds a campaign draft from the template with the approved creatives, publishes it, then posts to Slack. Each run shows under Activity history in the task.
This launches without asking
The Launch step spends real budget, and in the builder it has no approval option. The Require approval before this runs box exists only on Pause, Adjust budget and Slack notification.
Want a person to check before it goes live?
Ask Koast Agent to build the task for you, for example: "When a creative is approved in Frame.io, build a campaign from my UGC template and launch it, but let me review first." When the agent builds a task that launches, it adds a review step before the launch. The run then holds the campaign on the Pipeline board, marked Awaiting approval, until someone selects Approve.
Good to know
- The ad account comes from the template. If the template doesn't name one, the run fails at the Apply template step.
- Koast works with Frame.io accounts on Frame.io's current (V4) platform.
