Daily Slack updates for a campaign
Get a daily summary of a campaign's results posted to a Slack channel.
Have Koast post a campaign's results to Slack once a day, so your team sees spend, results and problem ad sets without opening Koast.
Before you start
- Connect Slack and choose a channel in Settings, under Slack. See Slack integration.
- The campaign must be launched. Daily updates can't be turned on until it has live ad sets.
Turn on daily updates
Open the campaign in the builder and select the Monitor tab.
Under Daily Slack Updates, pick the Update timeframe: Today so far, Yesterday, Last 3 days, Last 7 days or Since launch.
Set the Send time. The badge next to it shows the timezone it uses.
Check the Slack channel. It comes from your Slack settings; select Change (or Set up) to pick another in Settings.
Turn on the Enabled switch.
If Slack isn't connected, the tab shows Connect Slack for Daily Campaign Updates with a Connect Slack button instead.
What the update contains
Each day at your send time, Koast posts a message headed Daily Campaign Update followed by the campaign's name. It shows:
- Spend, Results and CPA for the timeframe you picked
- How many campaigns, ad sets and ads are live, and what share of ads are delivering
- A health line, for example how many ad sets spent without a result
- A View in Koast button that opens the campaign
Three replies in the thread add detail: Needs Attention lists ad sets with spend and no results, Campaign Summary lists the top 10 campaigns by spend with their spend, results and CPA, and Ad Set Summary does the same for ad sets, leaving out the ones already named in Needs Attention.
Good to know
- Results are counted from the first of these the campaign reports: purchases, leads, completed registrations, adds to cart.
- If the switch is greyed out, hover it: the tooltip says whether the Slack channel or live ad sets are missing.
