Troubleshooting

Launch results: partial, removed, action required

What each launch result means when a launch finishes partly, gets removed, needs your action or has rejected ads, and what to do next.

When a launch doesn't go all the way through, the launch results show what happened, campaign by campaign. This page explains each result and what to do about it. Wherever you see a number like "3 out of 5", the app fills in your own counts.

Created, but not active

The result card shows CREATED, NOT ACTIVE and the title Created, not activated, with one of these messages:

Your campaign was created with 3 out of 5 adsets. The remaining adsets could not be created due to an error. Your campaign is paused.
Your campaign was created with 8 out of 12 ads. The remaining ads could not be created due to an error. Your campaign is paused.
Your campaign and adsets were created but no ads could be added. Your campaign is paused.

There are similar versions for ad sets, ads and ad creatives, and for imported campaigns ("Your campaign was imported with 8 out of 12 ads..."). They all end the same way: "Your campaign is paused."

Why it happens. Koast created the campaign in your ad account, but one or more ad sets, ads or creatives failed. So nothing spends on a half-built campaign, Koast leaves it paused.

How to fix it.

  1. Read the error details on the result card. They usually name the ad set or ad that failed and why.

  2. Fix what's wrong in the builder, or open the campaign in your ads manager and finish it there.

  3. Turn the campaign on once it's complete.

Don't relaunch it

Do not relaunch this campaign. Relaunching builds a second campaign at your provider instead of resuming this one.

Created, but couldn't be turned on

Your campaign and ads were created successfully, but your campaign could not be activated automatically. Please activate it manually in your ads manager.

Why it happens. Everything was built, but the last step, switching the campaign on, failed.

How to fix it. Open the campaign in your ads manager and turn it on. You don't need to launch again.

If the campaign had Agent Tasks attached and they couldn't be attached, you'll see "Your campaign and ads were created successfully, but the automations could not be attached. Your campaign and automations have been paused." Check the campaign, turn it on, then check your Agent Tasks.

The campaign was removed

Your campaign could not be completed, so we removed it from your ads manager. Nothing was left behind and nothing was charged. Please try launching again.

Why it happens. Part of the launch failed early enough that Koast cleaned up after itself. The campaign is gone from your ad account and you weren't charged for it.

How to fix it. Read the error details, fix the setting they point to, then launch again.

In rare cases the cleanup itself fails. Then you'll see: "We could not remove the campaign we created in your ads manager. Please check for campaign 120212345678 and delete it manually if it is empty." Find that campaign ID in your ads manager and delete it if it's empty.

Your ad platform needs an action from you

Your ad platform needs you to take an action on your account before this campaign can launch: (the ad platform's own message)

Open your ads manager, resolve any pending notices or requests shown there, then launch again.

Why it happens. Meta or Whop is holding your ad account until you do something only you can do in your ads manager. Koast shows you the platform's own words after the colon.

How to fix it.

  1. Open your ads manager for that ad account.

  2. Resolve every pending notice or request you see there.

  3. Come back to Koast and launch again.

The ad platform had an outage

Facebook's API appears to be experiencing temporary issues. Please try your request again in a few minutes. If the problem continues, please contact support.

Why it happens. Meta's API was having trouble at the moment you launched. Nothing is wrong with your campaign.

How to fix it. Wait a few minutes, then launch again. In the builder, the publish button reads Retry Launch or Retry Failed Campaigns.

An internal error

An internal error occurred. Our team has been notified and is investigating the issue. We will update you shortly so you can continue running your campaigns.

We already know about it. Copy the launch ID (see below) and message us if you need the campaign live quickly.

Some ads were rejected

A launch can succeed and still have ads rejected in review. A rejected ad shows the Rejected status:

  • In Ads Manager and in the builder's table view, an icon sits next to the status. Hover over it to read the platform's reason.
  • In the ad's settings, a banner reads Rejected by the ad provider, followed by the reason.

Fix what the reason points to, then publish again.

Some interests weren't accepted

Some Interests Were Not Accepted

The following interests were not accepted by Facebook. This is determined by Facebook's algorithms and is beyond our control. Your campaign was still launched successfully without these interests. You can manually update the interests and targeting inside of Ads Manager at any time.

Your campaign is live. The listed interests were dropped. Pick alternatives in your targeting if you need to.

Still stuck?
