Koast Agent

Split results with the agent

Ask the agent to break your results down by placement, device, country, age, gender or hour, and see where the money goes.

Totals tell you a campaign is getting expensive. A breakdown tells you where. Ask the agent to split a campaign, ad set or ad by placement, device, country, age, gender or hour of the day, and it reads the split straight from Meta and shows you which slice spends well and which wastes budget.

Ask for a breakdown

Open Koast Agent and ask in your own words. Name what to split, how, and over which days:

  • "Split last week's results for Vela Daily Greens by placement."
  • "Which devices bring the cheapest purchases on the Harbor Cold Brew campaign this month?"
  • "Break down the Broad · US · 25-54 ad set by age and gender over the last 14 days."
  • "What hour of the day does Vela Supplements · US-1 spend best?"
  • "Compare countries for my lead campaign, last 30 days."

You'll see Get account breakdowns while the agent reads the numbers. It works on any campaign in your ad account, including ones you didn't launch from Koast. It only reads; it never changes anything.

Ways to split

Ask byWhat you get
PlacementEach platform, position and device together, such as Instagram Reels on a phone.
PlatformFacebook, Instagram, Audience Network and Messenger.
DeviceThe device the ad was seen on.
Mobile or desktopMobile against desktop.
CountryEach country.
RegionEach region or state. Meta doesn't report purchases, leads or other conversions by region, so this split shows spend, impressions, clicks and their costs only.
Age, gender, or age and genderEach age band, each gender, or both together.
Hour of the dayEach hour, in your ad account's time zone.

What comes back

For each slice the agent can see spend, impressions, link clicks, CTR, CPM, cost per link click, add to cart, checkouts, leads, cost per lead, purchases, cost per purchase, purchase value and ROAS. Money is in your ad account's currency.

There's no single "results" number per slice, so ask about the event you care about: purchases, leads or add to cart. The agent answers with a short table and what stands out. When it splits several campaigns or ad sets at once, it also adds the slices up across all of them.

Good to know:

  • Window. Without dates, the agent uses the last 7 days, ending yesterday. You can ask for today, yesterday, the last 3, 14, 28, 30 or 90 days, this month, last month, all time, or exact dates.
  • What it splits. Name the campaign, ad set or ad you mean. If you don't, it splits the newest ones in the ad account, 10 at a time.
  • Big asks. If Meta can't finish a large split in time, the agent tells you nothing was read and asks you to narrow it: fewer campaigns or a shorter window.
  • Meta ad accounts. Breakdowns come from Meta. If your ad account's platform can't split results a given way, the agent says so and reads nothing.

Breakdowns in reports and in Ads Manager

Some one-click reports split results on their own. Triage the account, for example, splits a campaign by placement or device when its cost per result moved and the totals don't say why.

To see breakdowns in a table instead of a chat, use Breakdown in Ads Manager. See Break down the numbers.
