Remove or restore an ad account
Remove an ad account you no longer use, or bring back one you removed, with its settings.
Removing an ad account takes it out of Koast for your whole team. The ad account itself isn't deleted on Meta or Whop, and you can restore it later with its pages, pixel and settings.
Before you start
- You need to be the Owner or an Admin.
- Every campaign on the ad account has to stop delivering first. Removing an account from Koast doesn't stop its ads, so Koast asks you to pause them.
Remove an ad account
Open Settings, then Ad Accounts.
Select Edit on the account's row.
In Edit Your Ad Account, select Remove Ad Account.
If campaigns are still delivering, Koast shows Pause delivery before removing this ad account with the list. Select Pause all campaigns. The dialog then reads "All campaigns paused." and lets you carry on.
Select Remove ad account.
Koast removes the account and refreshes. If it was the account you were in, you're switched to another one.
Restore an ad account
Open Settings, then Ad Accounts, and scroll to Archived ad accounts.
Select Restore on the account's row.
Confirm with Restore ad account.
Koast confirms with, for example, "Harbor Coffee is back. You can find it in your ad account switcher." Anything created in Koast before you removed it comes back with it.
Good to know
- Removed means hidden, not deleted. Campaigns, creatives, copy, settings and reporting history stop being visible to your team, and come back on restore.
- Paused stays paused. Restoring doesn't resume anything. Turn campaigns back on yourself.
- One brand per ad account. You can't restore an account that's now in another brand. Remove it there first.
- Can't pause a campaign? If some campaigns fail to pause, fix them on Meta or Whop, or try again. The account can't be removed while anything is still delivering.
