Reconnect Facebook and refresh assets
Reconnect Facebook when access expires, and pull in new Pages, pixels and Instagram accounts.
Facebook access doesn't renew by itself. When it expires, you reconnect. And when you add a Page, pixel or Instagram account in Meta, you refresh assets so Koast sees it.
Before you start
- You need the Owner, Admin or Media Buyer role to open the Facebook tab.
- Reconnect with the same Facebook profile that has access to this brand's ad account.
Reconnect Facebook
When access runs out, Koast shows this banner across the app:
Your Facebook connection has expired
Select Reconnect Facebook on the banner. Or open Settings, then Facebook, where the status reads Access Token Expired, and select Reconnect Facebook there.
In Facebook's dialog, continue as your profile and leave every permission on.
Back in Koast, check that the tab reads Connected and shows your ad account.
If the profile you reconnect with can't reach this brand's ad account, Koast clears it and asks you to pick one again. Choose it from the Ad account list and select Confirm Selection.
Missing Page permissions
If Koast can't read one of your Pages, the banner says so instead:

Reconnect, and in Facebook's dialog tick every Page you advertise with.
Refresh assets
Open Settings, then Facebook.
In Connected Ad Account Summary, select Refresh Assets.
Wait for "Ad account details refreshed successfully." The counts for Pages, pixels and Instagram accounts update, and Last synced shows the time.
You can also refresh from the campaign builder. Open the settings drawer, go to Assets & Tracking and select REFRESH ASSETS ("Check Meta for missing or new assets"). This button works for Koast ad accounts too, where it reads "Check Whop for missing or new assets".
Good to know
- The connected tab has more. Besides Connected assets, you'll find Change Ad Account (point this brand at another ad account), Advantage+ enhancements (Manage Settings) and Disconnect.
- Disconnecting removes Koast's access to the ad account for this brand. Launching and Agent Tasks stop working for it until you reconnect.
