Add funds to an ad account in your Business Manager
Pay Koast by card or bank transfer to put money on an ad account you requested in your Business Manager, and see what each payment costs.
An ad account you requested in your Business Manager spends the money you add to it. You don't put a card on it in Meta. Instead you pay Koast, and Koast puts the funds on the ad account for you.
Before you start
- The ad account has to be connected in Koast first. Its request's timeline reads Your ad account is ready.
- Each payment adds at least $100.00, or €100.00 on a EUR ad account.
Add funds
Open the request's timeline and select Add funds. Or open Settings, then Ad Accounts, and select Add funds next to the ad account.
If the request has more than one ad account, pick one under Ad account.
Under Amount to add to your ad account, type how much you want on the ad account. That full amount is what lands there.
Under Pay by, pick Card or, if it's offered for your account, Bank transfer. The summary underneath shows the Ad budget, the fees and the Total you pay.
Select Continue to payment and pay on the secure payment page.
What it costs
You pay the amount you want on the ad account, plus two fees on top:
| Card | Bank transfer | |
|---|---|---|
| Koast fee | 4% of the amount | 1% of the amount |
| Platform location fee | 2.5% | 2.5% |
| When the funds land | Once your payment is confirmed and Koast adds them | 1 to 3 business days |
| Ad account currency | USD or EUR | USD only |
The platform location fee is withheld when the funds go onto the ad account. Koast adds it to your total so the full amount still lands. Each fee shows its rate in the summary before you pay.
For example, to add $1,000 by card:
| Line | Amount |
|---|---|
| Ad budget | $1,000.00 |
| Koast fee (4%) | $40.00 |
| Platform location fee (2.5%) | $25.65 |
| Total | $1,065.65 |
By bank transfer, the same $1,000 costs $1,035.65: a $10.00 Koast fee plus the same $25.65 location fee.
Pay by bank transfer
If bank transfer is offered for your account, you'll see it next to Card. It works for USD ad accounts only. On a EUR ad account it's greyed out: "Bank transfer is available for USD ad accounts only."
After Continue to payment, the payment page shows the bank details to send the money to and a reference. Put the reference on your transfer, so the payment is matched to your ad account. The funds land 1 to 3 business days after your transfer arrives.
After you pay
Back in Koast, you'll see "Thanks. Koast adds the funds to your ad account as soon as your payment lands." If you left the payment page without paying, you'll see "Payment cancelled. Nothing was charged."
The request's timeline lists each payment under Funds, with its status:
| Status | What it means |
|---|---|
| Waiting for payment | Koast hasn't received your payment yet. A bank transfer stays here until it arrives. |
| Payment received · adding to your ad account | Your payment is in, and Koast is putting the funds on the ad account. |
| Added | The funds are on the ad account. |
| Failed | The payment didn't go through. Nothing was added. |
| Cancelled | The payment was cancelled or expired. Nothing was added. |
When funds are added, you get an email, and your first payment completes the Funds added stage.
Good to know
- Funds are per ad account. Each payment goes onto the one ad account you picked.
- Stuck on Payment received? If a payment stays at Payment received · adding to your ad account for more than a business day, message us from the chat bubble.
- Your Koast plan is separate. These payments don't go on your subscription card, and your plan price doesn't change. See Charges and invoices explained.
