Each Koast ad account pays for its own ad spend with the card saved on it. Koast ad accounts are provided through our partner Whop, which charges that card automatically as your ads deliver. Ad spend is billed per ad account, separately from your Koast subscription.

Before you start

• The Ad spend list lives in Settings, Billing, which only the Owner sees.
• Anyone launching on a Koast ad account without a card is prompted to add one: Add payment method appears in the review before launch and in the brand switcher's warning icon.
• Imported Whop accounts aren't billed here. You pay Whop directly for those. If none of your ad accounts is a Koast ad account, Ad spend doesn't appear at all.

Add or change a card

1. Open Settings, then Billing, and scroll to Ad spend.

2. Find the ad account. Its status is Ready, Needs a card or Finishing setup. The list shows five at a time, so with more than five select the show all button underneath to see the rest.

3. Select Add card, or Change card for an account that already has one.

4. Enter the card in the secure form and save it. Select Back to return to the list.

When you create a Koast ad account, you add its first card in the wizard's Add a payment method step. See Create a Koast ad account.

If a charge fails

When a charge is declined, the account's campaigns stop spending and Home shows an alert:

1. Make sure the card has funds, or change the card as above.

2. On Home, select Retry payment on the alert. It shows which card it will charge.

If the retry works, your ads start again and the alert goes away. If it's declined again, update the card and retry. Still stuck? Select Contact support on the alert.

Good to know

• Match the card to your country. The card's issuing country must match where you're using Koast from, or the charge is declined. Koast warns you: "Your card's country does not match your current location."
• Launching needs a card. A Koast ad account can't launch until its card is set as the ads payment method and the advertising agreement is signed.
• No percentage of spend. Your Koast plan is a flat price. It never takes a cut of your ad spend.
