Build a lead form

Design an instant form in Koast while you set up a lead campaign on a Koast ad account, and reuse it across ads.

On a Koast ad account you can build the instant form for a lead campaign right inside Koast. You design it once, pick it as the campaign's lead form, and the form goes live with your first ad.

Before you start

  • You need a Koast ad account. On a Meta ad account, forms are built in Meta and you pick an existing one. See Lead campaigns.
  • Have your privacy policy link ready. Every form shows it, and it must start with https://.

Open the builder

  1. Open Campaign Settings and set Campaign Objective to Lead Generation.

  2. In Assets & Tracking, set USE INSTANT FORMS to ON.

  3. Next to Lead Form, select Build a new form here. The Build a lead form dialog opens.

The lead form is a campaign setting, so the button only works at the campaign level. You don't need to pick a page first.

On the Creatives page, the same link sits in the help text under Lead form when you choose Leads Campaign. See Launch from the Creatives page.

Build the form

  1. Under Form, type a Name. People don't see it. Pick a Form type:

    • More volume is the default.
    • Higher intent adds a review step before submitting. It also lets you tick Verify the phone number by SMS before submitting.
  2. To greet people before the questions, select Add an intro screen and fill in both the Intro headline and the Intro description.

  3. Under What you ask, set your questions. A new form starts with Email and Full name. Use the arrows to reorder them and the bin to remove one. People see them in this order.

  4. Add more questions:

    • Add a profile field chips, like + Phone number or + City, add a question that's already filled in from the person's profile. Each one can be on the form once.
    • + A question they type or pick adds your own question. Type it under The question, as they will see it, then choose They type a short answer or They pick one of your choices. For choices, put one per line, at least two.
    • + An appointment request asks people to pick a time. Type the question, for example "When should we call you?".
  5. Under Privacy policy, paste your Privacy policy URL. Link text is optional.

  6. Optional: under After submitting, select Customise the ending screen to set a headline, description, button text and the Button URL the button opens. Under Consent, select Add a custom disclaimer to add your own terms and consent checkboxes.

  7. Select Save form.

Every profile field costs people one tap, because the answer is already there. Anything they have to type or pick costs you completions, so ask only what you'll use.

If something is missing or too long, the dialog lists what to fix under the form, and Save form stays greyed out until it's fixed.

What happens next

Koast saves the form and picks it for you. The Lead Form field shows it with its question count, like "Sleep trial request · Koast draft, 4 questions", and you see: "Sleep trial request saved. The form is created on the page when the first ad using it launches."

Nothing is created on your ad account yet. When you launch, the form is created on the page with the first ad that uses it.

Reuse a form

Your saved forms stay in the Lead Form list for every lead campaign on that ad account. With a page picked, the list shows the page's existing forms plus your saved forms, except ones you built while a different page was picked. Ads that use the same name and questions share one form.

You can't edit a saved form yet. To change one, build a new form with a different name.

If the launch can't find the form

If a saved form is no longer valid, the launch stops with: "That lead form draft no longer exists or is not valid. Open the lead form builder and save it again." Build the form again and pick the new one.
